Importance Of Learning Tajweed with Quran Online

Tajweed means betterment and this term refers to the improvement in the method of reading the Quran. When you want to improve your recitation, you have to read according to rules. The rules will help you learn the proper pronunciation of the Arabic letter. You must learn to read the Arabic of the Quran by learning the correct articulation points. You can also say that Tajweed is the grammar of the Quran Arabic. Reading the Quran with proper rules offers many rewards. What are the Qirats?

Ten Qirats are not like different voices and different styles, rather these are slight differences in pronunciation, letters and Harakat. It is like comparing two different books of Quran and you find differences between them. To know this clearly, we need to go back to the times of Prophet (PBUH) and Islamic history. People in the times of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were illiterate, and they have their own dialect of their own tribe like any other language. Like in case of English of British and American. It has differences of spelling and pronunciation. Same was the case for that time that they have different like dialect of Quraish which was the tribe of Holy Prophet (PBUH), dialect of Yaman, dialect of Hudair and many more.  These dialects have slight differences but without change in the meaning.

What Is Tajweed?

The literal meanings of the word “Tajweed” are betterment or doing something well.

Tajweed is a set of rules for proper pronunciation of the Quran. It is meant to replicate the way Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) used to recite the Holy Quran.

It is the art of refraining your tongue from making mistakes while reciting the words of Allah SWT.

With no doubt, reading the Quran with Tajweed adds a beautiful voice while helping you to not make recitation mistakes.

Even in the Holy Quran itself, The Almighty said:

وَرَتِّلِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَرۡتِيلاً (٤

The meaning of this ayah also highlights towards reading Quran with Tajweed.

As Allah commands to read the Quran in slow and measured rhthmic tones.

(Ayah 4, Surah 73)

Why A Muslim should Learn Quran with Tajweed?

As said, tajweed means to recite the Holy Quran as our Prophet (P.B.U.H) used to recite it. Sometimes, young minds have the question that why a Muslim should learn Quran tajweed?

There are many important reasons for this, but let us keep our talk to some very important reasons.

Firstly, it was the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) that he used to read the Quran word by word and letter by letter, applying elongation whenever required.

So by taking the initiative to learn tajweed we are actually following the Sunnat-e-Nabawi (S.A.W).

Secondly, in the Quran Allah command us in different Surahs and Ayahs to recite the Holy Quran in the way like it has to be recited.

If we take a deeper look of the meanings of the stats, it is evident from the interpretation of the ayah that Quran itself commands us to learn tajweed because those who have faith and those who believe in the message of the Quran should try to read it in the way it should be read.
